As Merelani is to tanzanite, Tsavo is to tsavorite.  Tsavo National Park (or parks, east and west) is home to another newly discovered gem, tsavorite, discovered by Campbell Bridges in the late 1960s.  A gorgeous rich green garnet which, to my eyes, rivals emerald (I myself prefer tsavorite!).  All natural, no treatment (as is very common with emeralds), this pair total 1.03 ct and are set in 18k yellow gold.  Elegant.
