The carving of these onyx started with lanterns but I asked my carvers to take the 3D of those and basically make them 2D.  That is, they're flat, or rather flat-ish.  Here they are hung on 18k yellow gold Chopsticks, a new cousin to the Grapes and Midolline studs.  All drops are interchangeable between these three studs using the same hook at the back as you see in the second pic.

These hand-carved black onyx disks are about 1 cm diameter and weigh a total of 6.30 ct.
