Nona #1

I was thinking about a certain old-fashioned style of earrings worn by Italian grandmothers (including my own Sicilian grandmother) and my mind got to wandering -- but not too far from the original idea.  These are 18k rose gold bowls, matte finished inside, high polished outside for contrast. The setting and shepherd's hooks are in 18k yellow gold. 

And what makes this cornucopia of colour even more vibrant is the pair of natural, untreated, cognac zircons and their incredible sparkle. Zircons are known for a higher refractive index than diamonds, viz more sparkley!.  The zircons total 3.28 cts.
