Fine Golden Needles

A great specimen of rutilated quartz.  Rutile (titanium dioxide) fills in hollow tube-shaped spaces in the quartz crystal with beautiful results.  Like a snowflake, no two rutilated quartz are the same.  This one was added to Fiona S-H's expanding collection of Disegno fine jewellery heirlooms.  Set in solid 18k green gold.
