AA-1 Custom Design Deposit Please use this order form only after we have spoken. AA-2 Custom Doppio Diamond Ring Custom designed 18k gold engagement ring for Rick B and Dyan E of Chicago. The ring is based on the "Doppio Vaso" ring (see under New Designs) but we added a 1.25 ct marquise cut diamond at one end and onyx at the other (see thumbnail), incredible black-white contrast. Dyan wears it on her middle finger teamed up with a simple Heavy Round Band (see Rings) as her wedding band to wear on her ring finger. Stunning. (Note, this picture is for display purposes only. AA-3 Custom Spessartite Garnet Ring Created for Ellen W of Toronto, this exquisite spessartite garnet is set in rose gold -- yes, orange combined with pink! I was so pleased that Ellen was bold enough to go with this colour combination and it really, really works, it's a stunning ring.

AA-5 Custom Chrysoberyl Pendant Created for Ellen W. of Toronto, this is a beautiful chrysoberyl set as a pendant in 18k yellow gold. Note the hidden 'hinge' between the pendant and the bail (loop for chain) that allows for fluidity and movement without compromising the lines of the piece. (Note, the other custom pictures are for display purposes only. Use this one AA-1 for making your deposit).
AA-6 Custom Trellis Diamond Ring Created for Michael and Leah of Ottawa, this 18k white gold and princess cut diamond is open on this sides. The trellis setting allows maximum light-play on the sides yet designed for a wedding band to sit flush against the sides. I have other designs along these lines, contact me for details.
AA-7 Custom Hands Sculpture This was created for Eleanor C of Ottawa. We originally set out to make a pendant but Eleanor had a clear vision of the size of the pair of hands and that it be three dimensional. The result was an exquisite sculpture in brass that graces her desk. (And now we're creating a new design for a pendant in 18k gold).
AA-8 Custom Platter Ring Created for Sylvie B. of Cornwall using Sylvie's diamond. Two band, matching the band of the platter ring were added on each side making for a bold and beautiful cluster of rings.

AR-56 Mountain Range I'm going in a new direction with stacking rings. This five-ring collection in solid 18k gold (totaling about 27 grams!) mimics the crests of mountain ranges. The 18k gold rings can be worn separately, in any combination or order you'd like and with thin gold bands in between to make it a really stunning ring.
AR-51 Slinky Ring Wow, what a ring! There are seven separate 18k gold rings (picture shows eight) in this combination to make a wide, yet versatile gold band that looks great on the middle finger. Wear all the gold rings together or stack a few of them with another ring. Each band is separately hand hammered. You've really got to take a look at the weight on this one -- 27 grams! (Bands also sold separately at $425 each).
AR-49 Doppio Vaso with Stones A 'double vase' solid 18k gold ring set with carnelian at one end and onyx at the other. Wear one up then flip over and show off the other stone. (Thumbnail shows onyx, large photo shows carnelian). Solid 18k gold, surprisingly very comfortable to wear. Best on the centre finger.

AR-45 Fat Orbit These days I'm into designing 'vertical' 18k gold rings or 'double sided' 18k gold rings. They are very comfortable and the metal on the palm side tucks into the flesh when the hand folds. You're sure to play with it like a worry stone. These are all great rings. Solid 18k gold orbiting the finger, slight knife edge.
AR-52 Cube Ring Perfect 'show-off' ring for the centre finger yet surprisingly comfortable. These rings are hand constructed, not cast. Because it's a quirky shape, in order to ensure a perfect fit I'll send you a brass model before making the ring up in 18k gold. See also AR-53, Hammered Cube Ring.
AR-53 Hammered Cube Ring Like the Cube Ring, this ring is hand constructed in solid 18k gold. Two sides of the ring are hammered, two are left plain, but I'll do it however you'd like. to ensure a perfect fit, I'll send you a brass model first before going ahead in gold.
AR-54 Concave Cube Ring Oh yah, they'll notice it! This ring is pure 'cocktail' but worn on the centre finger it is surprisingly comfortable as the adjacent fingers nest into the sides. It's a quirky one to fit so to make sure the size is right, I'll send you a brass model before going to gold.
AR-57 Pillowtalk Ring Pretty in pink: 18k rose gold matched with rose quartz. I love this ring -- I'm wearing one now -- and it has become very popular. It's bold but very comfortable, a perfect 'every day' ring. Also available in 18k yellow gold with a rutilated quartz (ask me to send you a pic of that one).
AR-58 Crate Ring Beautiful, bold gold. This is a centre finger ring once again -- I love doing these rings -- that they'll notice from a distance. It's hand-crafted, not cast, and I'll send you a brass model to ensure a good fit before it's made in gold.
AR-60 Windowpane Ring A window of rose quartz goes right through this rose gold ring -- you'll see it on both sides. I can 'shutter' that window also with black onyx set in yellow 18k gold.

AR-38 Roman Column Ring Solid 18k gold ring, even all the way up the column. Commercial jewellers would have hollowed out such a piece, but not me, I believe jewellery should be both visual as well as tactile. Set with black onyx or lapis lazuli.
AR-31 Diamond Dot Ring A stunning diamond ring in solid 18k yellow gold with a white 18k gold bezel. The shaft of the ring is solid and the diamond is bezel set so don't worry about being dainty with this ring. Pricing is based on a 15pt, G SI-1 diamond, but Disegno would be pleased to quote the ring with a larger, higher grade diamond.
AR-5 Pedestal Ring I love this 18k gold ring. It's an early design but it keeps working. It's solid 18k gold all the way up the shaft so you don't have to worry about any damage to it. Two of my girl friends have been wearing this model for about a decade and it looks better every time I see it. One of them teams it with a cube ring -- it looks fabulous! Available with lapis lazuli, onyx or carnelian (please specify when ordering). Because it is top-heavy, please ensure you measure your finger for a slightly snug fit.

AR-35 Vertebrae Ring It is impossible to overstate the impression this solid white 18k gold 'vertebrae' ring will make on a middle finger. Each ridge of the vertebrae is pointed with yellow 18k gold. The ridges run on both the top and palm sides of the ring. Scalloping on both sides makes it surprisingly comfortable to wear. Fine detailed with the texture of bone. A piece of art.
AR-37 Riveted Square Ring You want bold? This is it! I've taken two square rings (AR-27), one in white 18k gold and the other in yellow 18k gold, and merged them together with contrasting 'screws'. The concave sides make it surprisingly comfortable to wear on the middle finger. Weighs over 27 grams!
AR-1 Wafer Ring A soft knife edge caps this 18k gold wafer ring. Make sure to get a snug fit as the ring is in solid 18k gold and therefore tends to be top heavy. Matte or high polished finish. Pairs beautifully with the Wafer and Onyx Ring, AR-4.
AR-7 Volcano Ring It looks like it's set with a stone but it isn't. The 'crater' of the volcano is set with onyx. The 18k gold ring has also been set with diamonds; please contact me for details and pricing. The volcano is solid gold so there is no worry about any damage. Note the weight -- 13 grams! Make sure you measure your finger for a snug fit as it is very top heavy with all that gold.
AR-35 Medium Earthquake Band A dramatic effect of solid 18k gold etched with the crack of the earthquake that has been blackened for more depth. The band is 5mm wide. See also AR-25 and AR-26.

AE-7 Plumb Bob Earrings Stunning drop earrings in solid 18k gold, inspired by plumb bobs. The bobs swing elegantly on 18k gold U keepers (AE-6). Narwhal Tusk Ah, the narwhal, the beautiful oddity of the whale world, the unicorn of the Arctic waters. It is of the family of toothed whales yet it has only two teeth, both of which are basically non-functional. In the female both teeth grow to about 8", in the male narwhal the right tooth grows about the same length but the left tooth continues to grow to a length of up to 9', hence monodon monoceros: 'one tooth, one horn'. The name 'narwhal' is Norse in origin, derived from the word meaning 'corpse', referring to the colour of the adult, a white-grey mottled with dark grey. The narwhal tusk is a beautiful organic shape for jewelry. The narwhal tusk pendant is hung by a 'ball and socket' style bail allowing the tusk to rotate. The tusk, both pin and pendant is approximately 3.5"/8 cm long.

Harp Seal The harp seal is the most numerous pinniped of the North Atlantic Ocean, despite periods of over-exploitation. It is also the most endearing of the seal pups with its large, dark teary eyes and creamy fur coat.

Disegno has been making inukshuk jewellery for the last fifteen years, albeit a relative nano-second to the centuries inuksuit (plural) have graced the Arctic. The inukshuk is the stone icon of the Inuit, particularly those of the eastern Arctic. 'Inukshuk' means 'in the capacity of a man', in that it could be used to mark a site (a grave, food cache, spiritual site, etc), give direction or perform any task a person otherwise would. They are of various shapes from a single, small pinnacle stone to an elaborate multi-rock cairn, each with their own particular name. The shape of the inukshuk seen here is an 'inunguak' meaning 'in the shape or form of a man'. Polar Bear No other animal symbolizes the Arctic like the polar bear. 'Nanuk' (its Inuit name) is the lord of the north and can be found on ice floes and barren rocky shores and islands in the high Arctic and as far south as James Bay and the Labrador coast. I've seen many polar bears on my travels in the Arctic and this polar bear jewelry is inspired by them. Check out the pads and toes on the bottom of this bear's feet.

Dorset Bear This bear was commissioned by the Canadian Museum of Civilization in 1997. It is a replica of a figurine (Inuit amulet) originally carved from tusk from the Dorset period of Inuit culture. Perhaps he’s flying; perhaps he’s lifting himself on to a pan of ice. It's not clear, but he's very cute nonetheless.

Kayaking Bear A very cool polar bear paddling a traditional Baffin-style kayak. Created as the mascot of our two-person expedition in 1999 to circumnavigate Bylot Island by kayak. Bylot Island is located at 73 degrees north, just off the northern tip of Baffin Island in Canada’s Arctic. (For more information on the expedition see About Disegno, Dispatches).

Spirit Bear British Columbia's mid west coast is home to a rare sub-species of the Black Bear called the Kermode or 'spirit' bear. White coated but not albino -- his eyes are brown, not pink. Medium Humpback Whale One of the most musical of whales, the humpback is known for its elaborate song patterns. The humpback is also known for its 'dancing' abilities, including diving, spy-hopping and breaching. It's a baleen whale in that it ingests large quantities of zooplankton by straining the tiny organisms through its baleen. Approximate length from nose to tail is 4.5 cm. Continental Animals This was originally created for J. Gifford, Botswana (see testimonials). At his request I created a charm bracelet of one representative animal from each of the continents: kangaroo for Australia, tiger for Asia, sheep for Europe, elephant for Africa, grizzly bear for North America, alpaca for South America and penguin for Antarctica. Originally created in solid 18k gold, it is now available in gold and in sterling silver. Charms are also sold individually and as pendants, zipper pulls and earrings. Homage to Chihuly

FR-01 Large Water Lily I looove this ring! I wear one myself on my centre finger and it's one of my favorites. Solid sterling ring trimmed with 18k gold with an 11 mm diameter pink freshwater button pearl recessed within the water lily bowl. I'm fascinated by things 'cached' within other things and don't believe all design elements have to be so 'in your face', some can be tucked away and discovered.
FR-02 Small Water Lily Like the Large Water Lily ring, this ring is solid sterling silver rimmed with 18k gold. Cached inside the lily bowl is a 9 mm freshwater button pearl. Very sweet.
FR-03 Large Pelagia Ring The 'Pelagia' jewellery takes its inspiration from the clusters of bowls in Chihuly's 'Seaform' designs. 'Pelagia' means 'of the sea'. The large ring has three layers of frosted 'shells' with high polished rims set with an 8 mm pink freshwater button pearl. The top two 'shells' are loose and rotate around the pearl.
