Fine Lines » Custom Designing
I specialize in custom designing. Usually this means sitting in my studio with you, sipping espresso, and exploring what you envisage for your new piece of jewellery. While I have a strong design aesthetic -- that after all is what I do -- I want your special piece to reflect you. Most people know what they want, or at least a sense of what they want, they just can't articulate it. Together, we'll explore your ideas and elements that reflect you, then I'll refine them on paper. The process doesn't stop with the first drawing. If need be, I'll re-draw it until you're happy. The designs are drawn to size and are precise down to the quarter-millimetre, with top, side and end views shown; there'll be no mistaking what you are getting. But what about designing for a client who doesn't live in Ottawa? Well, you'll miss out on the espresso, but nothing else changes. I will scan, fax or mail the drawings to you until you approve them. A year ago I did exactly that for James Gifford who was managing a game lodge in the bush in northern Botswana. I created a very complicated custom 18k gold charm bracelet for him. See his response on the Testimonials page! And see the charm bracelet under the Continental Animals category in the Canada-Canada line. A deposit of 30 percent of the estimated final price of the custom piece is required before drawings are made. Please contact me first to discuss your needs.
