About Jewellery » Isn't 18k gold too soft?

In a word, no. While it is true, as I explained above, that pure gold is so very malleable that paper thin gold leaf is made from it, 18k gold is very strong. Keep in mind some of the qualities I described above that make gold precious: its heft, durability, resistance to corrosion, and workability (flexible, not brittle, i.e. does not easily break or chip or crack). As well, many of the alloy metals used in 18k gold come with their own positive properties. When you weigh all the factors, you'll find 18k gold is a wonderful choice.

And, as a final note, I am proud of the quantity of metal that defines all Disegno jewellery. With all that metal, my designs are made to last. You'll be passing these pieces on to your children, and they on to their children. Disegno jewellery has what it takes to be heirlooms.
